Reviews
- gigantic_mapleWe hosted my baby's first birthday party here and honestly the whole team made it so easy. The three girls up front were super helpful — they dealt with all our deliveries, helped us put together the menu, and even took in takeout when stuff arrived that day. Really appreciated that. The waiters serving us were also really nice, walked us through the dishes and helped portion everything out. Food was great overall too. The poached swimming crab was so fresh, nice and roe-filled, and the dipping sauce was this perfect salty-sweet thing. The Ningbo-style roasted veggies looked beautiful on the plate and tasted super authentic. The pork belly with shrimp paste and crispy seaweed on top was unreal — the pork was crackly and not greasy at all, and that fried seaweed on it was a perfect combo. The Hunan-style stir-fried Angus beef was a real rice-killer, though as a Shanghai person I'd say it was a little spicier than I'd like. The "She De" dish was such a clever idea — they basically take baby bok choy and only keep the little hearts, then cook them in a rich broth, and it turned out way better than I expected. The chrysanthemum salad was light and sweet, really cut through all the rich stuff. And the birthday noodles came in this tiny bowl with a pork bone broth that was so satisfying, one bowl and I was happy. Service really deserves a shoutout. We'd come back for sure.
