Reviews
- eerie_gojiLüyangcun is one of those places you can count on — food is always solid and the dining room is actually really nice, super comfortable for a family meal. The lion's head meatballs with crab roe are the star here, huge and meaty with a rich, savory broth. Honestly one is plenty for the whole table. The drunken crab and the Yangzhou-style tofu shreds in broth are basically on every table for a reason — the tofu is silky and the soup comes out piping hot, and the crab is just loaded with that wine flavor. They renovated recently so it feels way more spacious now, and they added a takeout counter for dim sum and prepared dishes which is super convenient if you wanna bring stuff home. Service has that classic state-run restaurant charm — the aunties are genuinely warm and welcoming. Portions are generous and the flavors stay pretty traditional, so it's perfect if you're bringing older family members, or honestly if you just get a craving for that old-school taste every once in a while. Weekends get packed at dinner so I'd suggest showing up a little early.
