Dishes
Traditional Sugar Pickled GarlicOld-fashioned sugar garlic is a traditional snack made by peeling fresh garlic cloves, then adding white sugar, white vinegar, water, and a small amount of salt. It undergoes pickling and fermentation. The main ingredients are garlic, white sugar, and white vinegar. During preparation, the garlic cloves are soaked in a sugar-vinegar solution and sealed for several weeks to several months to allow them to absorb flavor and soften.
Hand-Cut Lamb Top BladeHand-cut lamb neck is a dish made from premium lamb. The lamb neck portion is carefully hand-carved to maintain tender meat texture. It is typically cooked with simple seasonings to highlight the natural aroma and flavor of the lamb.
Signature Hand-Cut Fresh LambMade from fresh mutton, hand-cut into thin slices and quickly cooked. The mutton slices are evenly thick, preserving the meat's natural tenderness. It is typically stir-fried or涮煮 (shuàn zhǔ) with accompaniments such as scallions, ginger, garlic, and cilantro, maintaining the original flavor of the ingredients.
Grilled Lamb SkewersLamb skewers are made primarily from fresh lamb, cut into uniform small pieces and threaded onto bamboo or metal skewers. After marinating, they are slowly grilled over charcoal, turning frequently to ensure even heating. They are cooked until the surface turns golden brown and the meat becomes tender, releasing a rich aroma.
Fresh-Fried Chili OilFreshly fried chili oil is a seasoning oil made from fresh chilies and other ingredients. The method involves chopping fresh chilies, mixing them with edible oil, and slowly frying the mixture to a proper temperature. It has a bright red color and a spicy, aromatic fragrance.
Old Three DishesLao San Yang is a Chinese dish made primarily with pig liver, pig kidneys, and pig stomach. The three types of offal are typically sliced, blanched, and then quickly stir-fried with vegetables such as green peppers and onions. The cooking process emphasizes precise heat control to maintain the tender texture of the ingredients.
Self-Service Ice CreamSelf-service ice cream is a cold dessert made from milk, cream, sugar, and various fruits, nuts, and chocolates, processed by freezing and stirring. Customers can choose their preferred flavors and toppings at a designated area as needed.
Snowflake Wagyu BeefSnowflake beef is made from high-quality beef, carefully sliced to maintain a tender and juicy texture. When cooked with a specially prepared sauce and simply pan-seared, it offers a delicate texture and rich flavor.
Fresh Meat DelightFresh Meat Duo features pork as the main ingredient, carefully selected and processed for a tender texture. The dish includes two unique preparations of fresh meat: one is pan-seared meat chops, golden and crispy; the other is slow-cooked meat pieces with rich, savory sauce. Together, they create a distinctive and memorable flavor.
Yin-Yang Hot PotA double-boiled hot pot is a divided-style hot pot, typically split into two parts: one side with a clear or spicy broth, and the other with a different flavor (such as mushroom soup or tomato soup). Main ingredients include beef, lamb, seafood, vegetables, tofu products, and various meatballs, which are cooked in different broths.
Sesame Sauce FlatbreadSesame paste flatbread is made primarily from flour, combined with sesame paste, oil, and other seasonings. The dough is fermented, wrapped around a sesame paste filling, then brushed with sesame seeds and baked until golden and crispy.
Reviews
- Kendall_36This place is tucked away in a sunken plaza near Wukesong, super easy to miss if you don't know it's there. The vibe was clean and simple, and the smell of the charcoal copper pot when we walked in was honestly so authentic, immediately got me hyped. The hand-sliced lamb was unreal. Like, paper thin, you could practically see through it, and it only took a few seconds in the broth before it was tender and juicy. No gamey taste at all, which I was kinda worried about. The sesame sauce dip was thick but not too heavy, and they had chive flower and chili oil on the side to mix in, which gave it so much more depth. The frozen tofu had soaked up all the broth and was super soft and flavorful when you bit into it. Service was quick, the staff brought everything out fast and were really friendly too. Overall just a really comfy, satisfying meal. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Beijing.
