The lamb is really on point — the fresh-cut lamb has a great chewy bite, the baby lamb rolls are nicely marbled with fat and super springy, and the high-calcium lamb with the crunchy cartilage is such a unique texture. But heads up, some of the lamb slices are cut a bit thicker than I'd like, so I'd recommend letting them cook a few extra seconds in the pot for the best texture. The vibe is super down-to-earth and the service is warm — our server Xiao Yang made us feel right at home. Fair warning though, it gets pretty packed on weekend evenings, so maybe go a little off-peak. Overall it's a spot that nails that authentic old-Beijing copper pot hotpot vibe with really solid ingredients. Perfect whether you're hosting friends or just treating yourself.
