Sometimes, a small amount of meat or vegetables is added to enhance the flavor. The preparation emphasizes preserving the original aroma and texture of the wheat.
Beef PancakeBeef pancakes are made from beef mince, flour, eggs, and seasonings like scallions and ginger. The batter is poured into a flat pan and cooked until golden brown on both sides.
Strawberry Wheat BeerStrawberry wheat beer is a drink made primarily from fresh strawberries and beer. Crush the washed strawberries, mix with cold-brewed beer, add sugar or honey to taste, stir well, and chill before serving.
Reviews
- Cory_14This craft beer spot is tucked away inside courtyard #46 on Fangjia Hutong, and the industrial-style front is super easy to spot. The beer menu is seriously impressive — they've got everything from the classic Baihua Shenshu IPA (Baihua Shenshu IPA) and a jasmine oolong wheat to their Dishi Imperial Stout, each one with its own thing going on. The staff were really enthusiastic about helping us pick based on what we like, which was a nice touch. The food holds its own too — the duck wrap (sheng jian bao style crispy pancake with roast duck) was crunchy and packed with flavor, and the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, both awesome alongside the beers. The space is split into two separate areas that don't connect, vibe is super chill and easygoing, great for hanging out with friends or a date night. Heads up though — weekends get packed, so definitely book ahead. We caught a play at the Renyi theater nearby and swung by after, honestly such a good combo, your brain and your stomach both win.
