- Yael_16This place is called Kali BBQ near Shuangyushu and it's all about Guizhou-style laoguo with that signature huoyou dipping sauce. Super popular, so be ready to wait in line at peak hours. The vibe is this new Chinese retro look and honestly it has a really cool atmosphere. You grab your own food from the counter and they charge by plate color, which is kinda fun. Tons of options, all the Guizhou specials were there — beef cubes, fried tofu puffs, soft pork bits, cured sausages, plus beef chuck and pork belly that come out so fragrant on the grill. And that huoyou dipping sauce? Literally the soul of the whole place, one bite and you're hooked. While you're waiting they hand out free roasted potatoes and mango pomelo sago, and once you sit down you get three kinds of free sweet soups you can refill as much as you want — total lifesaver for the spice. The service crew is warm and attentive the whole time. Whole experience was solid, around 100 kuai per person and I left totally satisfied. Great spot to come with friends and try something different!
