Reviews
- secret_coffee_beanSo we stopped by this place and honestly had a really good time. The staff was super friendly and actually walked us through how to eat everything, which was helpful since we had no idea what we were doing. We got the iron pot fish and the pork rib pot — both solid choices. The ribs were more on the chewy side, not the fall-off-the-bone kind, so just depends what you're into. My friend and I also tried the chicken leg and rib pot and it was a huge portion, tasted great every bite. Oh, and definitely add the dried beans — they soak up all the flavor and become insanely good. The free ice cream and little snacks were a nice touch, and the corn porridge was honestly the best I've ever had, done just right. There's a science center and a park right nearby, so we walked around after, which was perfect. Only heads up — it gets packed on weekend evenings, so book ahead. We didn't and ended up waiting forever plus waiting for the pot to start bubbling. Not fun. Overall great value, awesome for families or a bigger group, and if you've never tried northeast-style iron pot stew before, this is the spot.
