Reviews
- caramel_brambleMet up with a friend near Wukesong and ended up checking out this grilled fish spot in the basement level of Huaxi Live — super convenient. Ordered their signature "strange flavor" grilled fish and wow, the fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with this wild combo of green Sichuan pepper and caramel that hits you with this sweet-spicy-numbing thing that's honestly kinda addictive. Also got the sour and spicy fern root noodles on the side — silky, tangy, and the perfect palate cleanser between bites of the heavier fish. The mochi rice cakes they mash fresh at the table were sooo good, sticky and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. Fish was clearly fresh and the flavor had a lot going on without being overwhelming. Left feeling totally satisfied, definitely coming back if I'm in the area.
