Reviews
- bronze_ranunculusThis Jingli Xiangxie buffet is on the first floor of the Nanjing Grand Hotel in Wangfujing, super easy to find. The place is bright and spacious, and the service is honestly really on point — the staff cleared our plates fast and the manager actually came by to ask how everything was, which was a nice touch. Food-wise, it's about 150 yuan per person, which for a buffet in Beijing is a pretty solid deal. It's not one of those places with a million mediocre dishes, the quality is actually high and everything tasted fresh. They've got the usual seafood — salmon, shrimp, oysters — all good. But honestly what stood out to me were the Nanjing specialties, especially the sweet and sour pork ribs (big chunks, super flavorful) and the braised soft-shell turtle. The grilled steak and scallops get brought right to your table by the servers, which kinda makes it feel more like a sit-down meal. And the ice cream is Haagen-Dazs, plus they've got sake alongside the usual drinks. Overall, if you care about good ingredients, don't wanna drop a ton of cash, and still want a solid meal, this place is worth it. Came on a weekday for lunch and it wasn't crowded at all, so that was a bonus.
