Reviews
- Taylor_17This Jinyang Restaurant on Yongding Road was super easy to find, and there's a parking lot right in the courtyard which is a huge plus if you're driving. The vibe inside is calm and clean, the main dining room is bright, and the private rooms are pretty spacious. Plus they have their own bathroom, which honestly is always a nice touch. Felt like a great spot for a family dinner or to take someone out. Food-wise, the signature crispy duck is a must-order. Skin was crunchy, meat was tender, kinda similar to Peking duck but with more layers of flavor. If you're a vinegar fan, don't skip the vinegar fish and the braised pork with aged vinegar — really unique taste. Heavier dishes like the dry-braised yellow croaker and kung pao shrimp balls were solid too, and the shrimp were huge. You can even get them not spicy if you want. Service was great — staff were polite, attentive, and even offered to take group photos for us, which I really appreciated. Overall a Shanxi restaurant where the food, vibe, and service are all on point. Worth a special trip for sure.
