The braised pork intestines stew with that flatbread soaking up all the rich broth was unreal — the intestines were super tender, not greasy at all, and the lung pieces had this perfect crispy-tender thing going on. Tearing off pieces of the chewy flatbread and dunking it in the soup? Insane. Salty, deep, just packed with flavor. The cold appetizer platter was a nice surprise too since you can mix and match whatever you want. The lotus root slices were so crunchy and the cucumber was really fresh and slightly sweet — great way to start. The quick-boiled tripe was done just right, nice and bouncy with a great bite, and that sesame paste with chili oil combo on top was honestly the star. Fried sausage had this awesome crispy outside and juicy inside, dipped in that garlic sauce... wow, I could've eaten like ten of them. It's a tiny spot but super clean, and the people working there were so warm and welcoming. Prices are really reasonable too. If you want real old-school Beijing flavors this is absolutely the place — I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the city.
