Reviews
- spiny_lorisThis Ziguangyuan place is legit old-school Beijing cuisine, the kind of spot families have been coming to for generations. The signature dishes really live up to the hype — the kung pao chicken and the clay pot beef brisket were spot on, and the mao tofu (like a fermented tofu thing) had such a unique flavor. The Peking duck is made fresh by the guy right there, super crispy skin, tender meat, nice and glossy looking. They also do a steamed version if you want something lighter. Honestly the value here is amazing. We got a set menu and it was more than enough for the whole family, super reasonable per person. The space is big and comfy, service is warm and attentive, and from the moment we walked in they walked us through the menu really thoroughly. Great for a family dinner or hanging out with friends, food came out fast too. Whole experience was just really pleasant, would definitely come back.
