Dishes
Frozen TofuFrozen tofu is made by freezing fresh tofu, which develops a honeycomb-like structure inside with many pores and good elasticity. It can be cooked with various ingredients, offering a rich and diverse texture.
Cold DishCold dishes are prepared by cooking, marinating, or eating raw ingredients, then cooling them to room temperature or refrigerating before serving. Common ingredients include cucumber, tofu skin, jellyfish, chicken breast, wood ear mushrooms, and carrots. Preparation methods include mixing, pickling, blanching, and freezing.
Wide Rice NoodlesWide rice noodles, a broad ribbon-shaped vermicelli made from sweet potato starch. Typically, the wide rice noodles are soaked in warm water to soften them before being stir-fried or added to soups with meats and vegetables. They have a smooth, tender texture that absorbs broth well, enhancing the overall flavor.
Dried Green BeansDry beans are made by sun-drying fresh beans until they lose moisture, resulting in a deep green or yellow-brown color. Before cooking, they must be soaked in water to restore their softness. They are commonly stewed with meat, absorbing the meat juices to become flavorful, and can also be stir-fried or used in soups.
Mixed Dried Tofu NoodlesSpiced tofu strips is a cold dish primarily made from dried tofu. The dried tofu is sliced into thin strips, blanched or mixed directly, then combined with scallions, cilantro, garlic, and seasoned with soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and chili oil to create a flavorful dish.
Songhua FishSonghua Fish is a dish made primarily with fresh fish meat, which is sliced or scored with floral cuts before cooking. Commonly using grass carp or sea bass, the fish meat is processed into thin slices or pieces with decorative cuts, then blanched or fried to set its shape. It is stir-fried together with accompaniments such as wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and green peppers, and finally simmered in a seasoned sauce.
White RadishThis dish features radish as the main ingredient, prepared using simple cooking techniques such as stewing or stir-frying to preserve its natural flavor. The crisp texture and subtle sweetness of the radish are perfectly maintained, making it a healthy and beloved home-style meal.
Glass noodlesGlass noodles are a type of strip-shaped food primarily made from starch, commonly using sweet potato starch, potato starch, or mung bean starch. The process involves mixing starch with water to form a paste, steaming it until cooked, cutting it into strips, and then drying it by sun or machine. Before cooking, they need to be soaked in warm water and can be prepared by stir-frying, boiling, or stewing.
Kimchi RadishKimchi is primarily made from white radish, which is cut into strips or cubes, salted to remove moisture, then mixed with seasonings such as chili powder, garlic, ginger, onion, fish sauce or shrimp paste, and fermented in a container for several days to several weeks. The finished product has a clear color and a crisp, refreshing texture.
Steamed Flower BunSteamed flower buns are a traditional Chinese dough dish made primarily from flour. The dough is fermented with yeast, rolled into sheets, and then either filled or left unfilled before being steamed. To prepare them, the dough is kneaded evenly, allowed to rest and rise, divided into small portions, flattened into wrappers, and then folded or shaped into floral forms before steaming in a bamboo steamer.
Pasted Steamed BunBaozi is a flour-based dish made by rolling dough into thin sheets, folding it into flower shapes, and pan-frying until golden brown on both sides. Main ingredients include flour, water, and a small amount of oil, creating a crispy exterior and soft interior through frying.
Cornmeal PancakeCornmeal pancakes are a traditional Chinese dish made primarily from corn flour. After fermentation, the dough is pressed against the sides of a heated pan and baked. The outer layer is golden and crispy, while the inside is soft, sweet, and rich in the aroma of corn.
Reviews
- oceanic_calatheaSitting on the kang while eating Northeastern iron pot stew — the vibe is so good, warm yellow lights everywhere and it just feels right. They kill the fish right there and start cooking it on the spot, the meat was super tender and silky, the broth was rich and packed with flavor, barely any bones, honestly so satisfying. The corn pancakes and flower rolls stuck on the side of the pot were crispy outside and soft inside, totally soaked up all that fish broth, smelled amazing. Service was great, the owner was really friendly and the food came out fast. The fish pot had tons of sides in it, left smelling like fish the whole way home, gonna need a serious shower after this lol.
