Reviews
- Riley_21Went here with my bestie last weekend for a little get-together at this Japanese-style hotpot buffet in Dongfang Square, and honestly it was such a solid experience. The place is super easy to find — it's in the northwest corner of the mall on B1, and it's pretty spacious so we didn't have to wait at all. We went with the classic Kanto sukiyaki pot and the Japanese curry pot for our broths. Both were really rich and flavorful but not spicy at all, which is perfect if you're not into heat. The meat quality was legit — the beef shoulder and short rib cuts were nicely marbled, super tender, and sliced nice and thick. The seafood was the real deal too, the shrimp paste and cuttlefish paste were both clearly made with actual ingredients, not the cheap stuff. The veggie and mushroom platter at the buffet area looked like they'd actually been picked through, everything was really fresh. For dessert, definitely get the caramel pudding and the matcha almond tofu, both were the perfect way to wrap things up. Service was quick, food came out fast, and the vibe is this cozy warm-yellow Japanese style, quiet and really comfortable. Price per person was a great deal, especially for a group of 3-4 friends or a family dinner. Definitely worth checking out, I'd come back for sure.
