Reviews
- smidgen_maceThe vibe: it's literally right across from the hospital. My mom had an emergency IV drip last year and ended up staying for surgery, so I found this place and ended up eating there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for over three weeks. Not sure if it's 24 hours but I saw people there at like 11 pm. The space is pretty big, and you go in and order at the counter from right to left, pay, grab your chopsticks, super efficient setup. The food: their plain soy milk is SO good, way better than the sweet stuff, I always get it without sugar. Breakfast is solid, the youtiao (fried dough sticks) and chive boxes are both really tasty. I also tried the tea egg, the shredded potato pancake, and the jianbing guozi (savory crepe) — all good. For lunch they do small home-style dishes, nothing fancy but tasty and cheap. Also had the congee and the dough drop soup, both fine. Price: honestly super reasonable. Out of all the restaurants on that strip across from the hospital, this one's probably the most down-to-earth. Total lifesaver during those hospital days, I'd go back in a heartbeat.
