Reviews
- cheesy_acornThis Hubei place is right by the Anding Bridge southeast side, just steps from the Heping West Bridge subway station on line 5, super easy to get to. The space is pretty big and nicely decorated, with both a main hall and private rooms, good for business dinners or just hanging out with friends. Service was really attentive, they even brought out some complimentary fruit before the meal. You HAVE to order the signature pork rib and lotus root soup — they use real Hubei powder lotus root, stewed till it's super tender, and the broth is salty, savory, and rich. The sticky rice steamed pork belly in the Mianyang three steamed dishes was fatty but not greasy at all, dip it in a little vinegar and it cuts the richness perfectly. The three treasure tofu skin had a crispy outside and this really fragrant, packed filling inside, great textures. The stir-fried red vegetable stalks were cooked just right, kept that unique fresh fragrance. Average per person was around 80-something yuan, portions are seriously generous, we couldn't even finish everything, great value. Overall the food skews salty-savory, so it's super friendly if you can't handle spice. Heads up — it can get a line on weekend dinner rush, so maybe go a little off-peak.
