- scarlet_mambaWas wandering around the Yayuncun area with a friend and we randomly stumbled on this old Beijing-style copper pot hotpot spot. Super cute vibe — wooden tables, warm yellow lighting, totally Instagram-worthy. We ordered the fresh lamb platter and the meat was sliced right there in the dining room, you could see the marbling super clearly. Swish it in the pot for like 8 seconds, dip it in the sesame sauce, and it's so tender and juicy oh my god. The sesame sauce was thick and smooth and they had this fresh-fried chili oil on the side that went perfectly with it. Oh and there's traditional Chinese opera playing while you eat, which honestly gave it such a strong old Beijing feel. Whole experience was really cozy, just the two of us chatting away, super relaxed and kinda romantic. Would totally come back.
