I'd been curious forever about which place does the best Peking duck, so I went with the jasmine Peking duck here. They stuff a jasmine tea bag inside the duck while it roasts, and honestly the meat was super tender, the skin perfectly crispy, and it had this light floral aroma that cut right through the grease. The space has that classic Beijing courtyard style, really chill and not noisy at all. And their pear soup — it's a non-heritage recipe apparently and they simmer it for six hours every day — it's naturally sweet and mellow, great for cooling your mouth whether you're eating spicy stuff or rich dishes. Overall the homey flavors are super consistent, perfect for a casual hangout with friends. Definitely coming back.
