- Sky_27Ok so we stopped at this place on Danjiang Avenue — Danjiang Fish Village — and honestly the vibe was really cool. The decor has this old-school Jingchu style going on, with wooden tables and chairs, old fishing boats, and these little oil lamps everywhere. Super atmospheric, felt like stepping back in time. The whole menu is basically all about fresh river fish. We got the chopped chili qiaozui fish and the two-way qiaozui fish, and both were crazy tender and fresh, barely any of that muddy river taste. And barely any bones, which is always a win. The signature mountain spring water fish head soup was so good — really flavorful. Also gotta mention these round grandma-style flatbread buns they brought out, kinda sweet from some rice wine flavor, and super chewy. Loved them. There's a big parking lot right out front so driving over was easy. Service was great too — the staff knew the menu inside and out and explained everything clearly. Would be perfect for a family dinner or hanging out with friends. If you've got a bigger group they have private rooms, and the biggest one can fit around 16 people. Definitely coming back.
