Reviews
- CameronDreamer59Took my kid to see a children's play at Chaoyang Theatre and wanted some Japanese cuisine afterward. Called a few places but they were all fully booked, except for this one. We went for the 1388 set meal and added a wasabi octopus dish. To my surprise, the food was excellent. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite—the sweet shrimp were large and sweet; the wasabi octopus was fresh and tastier than any I've had before. The beef short ribs were delicious too. The ham was a bit much on its own, but it paired well with the arugula and salad dressing, and with the cantaloupe—it was a hit with my child. They loved the matsutake soup, and the fried rice was packed with ingredients and tasty. The chicken liver in mountain pepper was surprisingly good, and I usually don't like tempura, but this had a texture similar to dried squid from seaside towns, yet not as chewy.

- AlexLover71"The sashimi was very fresh and tasted great. Every dish was carefully presented, and the service from the ladies was warm and attentive. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Beijing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

- AlexExplorer62My friend and I came here for a casual get-together, and the ambiance was really comfortable with soft lighting, perfect for taking photos. We ordered the grilled horse mackerel with Iberian ham; the fish skin was crispy and香焦, complementing the salty ham beautifully. The foie gras was tender and not at all greasy, paired with the sweet and sour mango, it was a delightful combination. Service was attentive too; the staff would discreetly refill our tea and replace our plates without a fuss, keeping the atmosphere serene. It was a relaxed experience, chatting over our meal.

You could taste the freshness in every bite—the sweet shrimp were large and sweet; the mustard octopus was clearly fresh and tastier than any I've had before. The beef short ribs were delicious, and while the ham was a bit much on its own, it paired well with the arugula and salad dressing, and also with the cantaloupe, which my child loved. The matsutake soup was a hit with them too. The fried rice was generous with ingredients and tasty, and the chicken liver in mountain pepper was surprisingly good. I usually don't like tempura, but this skate wing tempura was an exception; it had a texture similar to dried squid from seaside towns but was less chewy.
