The street out front on Fuxing Middle Road was already decked out for New Year's, so the vibe was really festive even before we walked in. Our company picked this Japanese spot for the year-end dinner, and honestly it was the best of both worlds — lively but still calm inside. It's 980 per person, which is definitely up there, but the raw dishes were honestly so worth it. Everything was super fresh. The sea urchin, the caviar, the New Zealand scampi, and the spot prawns were all great, but the bluefin tuna belly was the real star — that hit of fatty richness just melted on my tongue and I was so happy. The cooked stuff was pretty mid though, honestly. The only one I'd go back for was the wagyu sukiyaki, that was solid. Fruit after the meal was really fresh and tasty too, but don't skip the ice cream — the vanilla and the durian were both amazing.
