Reviews
- winter_nigellaRecently I've been trying to eat more spicy food, so my bestie and I went out for Hunan food for dinner. Found this place near the university area online, and since we only eat two meals a day we got there at 5pm to start eating lol. The "Lucky Head Eco Pepper Fish Head" looked and smelled amazing as soon as it hit the table — the fish was crazy tender, and the meat had this fresh fragrant chili flavor mixed in, totally won us over right away. The "Honghu Lotus Root and Pork Rib Stew" — every time I eat Hunan food and there's lotus root soup on the menu I have to order it. The broth was thick and rich, and the lotus root was sooo starchy and chewy, just super comforting. The "Hunan Blood Sauce Duck" — honestly I don't even know how to describe this one, it's spicy but seriously the perfect thing to eat with rice, unreal combo. And the "Braised High Mountain Potato in Meat Sauce" — I love potatoes and this one was so starchy and flavorful, I literally ate a whole bowl of it plain before it even cooled down, and when you pour the sauce over rice it tastes like a holiday meal. My friend lives nearby and said she's definitely gonna come back for another round!
