The meat pies were super fragrant and oily, but the flavor is pretty traditional, so if you're looking for something that really wows your tastebuds it might feel kinda average. Of the dishes we tried, the pork and scallion pies and the veggie ones were actually a bit lighter and more refreshing, and they went perfectly with a bowl of cold congee to cut through the richness. The shop is tucked in a hutong and not too hard to find, but the entrance is pretty small and during peak hours you might have to share a table. Overall, a solid pick if you want to soak up some local vibes and grab a meal at the same time, or if you're staying nearby and just want a quick, no-fuss dinner.
