Reviews
- slick_peonyCame back for a second time and honestly this place is a bit of a mixed bag. The good stuff really stands out though — the ingredients are super fresh, the salmon, arctic surf clam, and sea snail sashimi were all still sweet and tender, the lamb chops were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside with a really rich flavor, and the sake drinks were light and sweet, went great with the food and cut through the greasiness. The space is small but has a nice cozy elegant vibe, felt pretty comfortable. But there are downsides too — the portions felt smaller than last time, and some of the staff were kinda cold. There was this one heavier-set girl who barely smiled, kinda gave off pressure. Also it's definitely not cheap, falls into the pretty pricey category. If you're going mainly for the fresh sashimi and a couple of their signature dishes like the baked crab shell and scallop with dried scallop, you'll have a great time. But if you really care about service or getting bang for your buck, you might be a bit disappointed. I'd suggest going on a weeknight, way less crowded.
