- Hayden_6The hotpot broth was stir-fried right in front of us and the chili and sichuan peppercorn aroma was honestly incredible — the second it started bubbling I was already hungry. The shrimp paste (xia hua) was super bouncy and packed with flavor, and dunked in the chili oil it was sooo good. The self-serve area had tons of options, the duck intestine skewers were nice and crispy-tender and the tripe done the classic seven-up-eight-down way had that perfect chewy crunch. The little crispy pork (su rou) was crunchy outside, juicy inside, and the tomato sauce for dipping was a lifesaver for the spice. They refresh the fruit daily too — watermelon after all that chili was exactly what I needed. Definitely coming back.
