Reviews
- bonkers_fennelThis place called Hao Sao's farmhouse-style cooking is over by Jingou River Road, super easy to get to and there's parking right out front. Inside actually looks pretty nice, and at lunch it was packed — you might end up waiting for a table or sharing one. Overall the food is solid and the prices are really reasonable, definitely a good homestyle spot in the area. The signature braised pig trotters in house sauce were fall-off-the-bone tender and super flavorful, and the beef noodle soup had a rich broth with big chunks of beef, plus free refills on the soup. The stir-fried mixed veggies and kung pao chicken honestly tasted like the kind of stuff you'd get at a much fancier place, and the peanut spinach was fresh and cut through all the richness nicely. The black pepper beef chow mein had tons of black pepper flavor and the noodles had a great chewy bite. Good for hanging out with friends or just a weekday lunch, and for like a few bucks a person you walk out totally satisfied.
