- minuscule_dillHonestly, the soup base at this place is no joke — they're slow-simmering it with a bunch of Chinese herbs and it's got this really deep, rich flavor without feeling heavy at all. I got the matsutake ginseng chicken soup and it was loaded with these pricey matsutake mushrooms and ginseng, which gave it this unique aroma and way more depth than your average chicken soup. The chicken itself was fall-apart tender, especially the thigh meat — super delicate — and even the breast wasn't dry, which honestly never happens. They give you soy sauce and salt and pepper on the side and it's even better with a little dip. The staff were seriously sweet, asked about how I was feeling and actually recommended a soup based on that, and kept refilling the side dishes without me even asking. Came here on a freezing winter day and that one bowl basically warmed me up from the inside out. Definitely coming back.
