Reviews
- frantic_snow_peaCame here with a friend to check out this new Jiaodong spot and honestly it worked out really well. Feels more like a place for a chill hangout with friends or a family dinner kinda vibe. The main dining room doesn't charge a service fee which is actually pretty friendly for once. The hand-torn steamed buns with red head shrimp paste are a must and yeah, they live up to the hype. The buns are huge and the shrimp paste is super fresh, not salty at all. Seafood is clearly their thing — the Laizhou swimming crabs were really fresh, they steam them right there and the meat was so plump and sweet. The asparagus, ginkgo and scallops dish was great too, super thick scallops and really tender. They bring out these free warm bread rolls before the meal and they're crazy buttery and good. And the homemade yogurt at the end was perfect for cutting through all the richness. Just a heads up though — it can get pretty packed on weekend evenings so definitely book ahead. Overall the food is solid, portions are generous, and for this kind of place the value is pretty decent. Would come back if I was craving seafood again or wanted to try more Jiaodong flavors.
