Reviews
- Teal_14Been to Tianjie (天街) like a million times but never made it up to the 5th floor to try Lan Xiangzi (兰湘子) Hunan food — they claim everything's made fresh right in front of you. Got the spicy scrambled eggs with golden coins (辣炒金钱蛋, basically eggs stir-fried with chili and pickled peppers) and honestly it was so good, super classic homestyle Hunan dish, nothing fancy but it went perfectly with rice. Also tried the "Xiangzi Family Feast" hotpot (湘子味全家福) which was loaded with stuff — egg dumplings, crispy pork skin (皮肚), tofu, cabbage, meatballs, you name it. Broth was really flavorful and not spicy at all, which was a nice break. Oh and they give out free kids' meals which is such a nice touch, my friend and I noticed a bunch of families with little ones digging in. Would definitely come back when I'm craving some Hunan flavors.
