Reviews
- Zen_18This old-school Sichuan place in Wangfujing has been around since 1950 and it totally shows — in a good way. Their kung pao chicken (宫保鸡丁) is legit amazing, super tender chicken, perfectly crispy peanuts, and that classic sweet-sour-spicy-numbing flavor that just hits all the right notes. Beyond that, the sesame paste sugar flatbread (麻酱糖饼) was crispy outside and pillowy soft inside, the maoxuewang (pork blood stew) had zero gamey smell, and the Beile roast meat was really tender too. Honestly everything we tried was on point. Vibe is nice, tons of seats plus private rooms, so it's great for a family dinner or hanging out with friends. Staff were friendly and when the table next to us got loud they actually helped us switch rooms, which I really appreciated. Location is super convenient — it's on Jinyu Hutong, first floor of the Peace Hotel, right across from the Peninsula, and there's parking right next to it if you're driving in. Heads up though — weekends and dinner rush are packed. I'd definitely recommend going off-peak or booking ahead. Will be coming back for sure!
