Reviews
- compact_violetThis little bao bun shop tucked away in a hutong is super charming. The vibe is really chill and quiet — my friend and I sat right by the entrance soaking up the sun while eating our buns and it was just perfect. We got the scallion pork buns and the lamb with green onion buns, and honestly both were amazing. The pork buns had these nice big chunks of meat, really savory with the scallion flavor coming through but not overpowering at all. The lamb ones were something else though — the meat pieces were huge and had this almost grilled/roasted quality to them, and the gaminess was super mild, which I wasn't expecting. They also had this warm red bean and Job's tears drink that's kinda like a sweet porridge and it was so comforting. Oh and the buns themselves are BIG, like seriously stuffed. Definitely a different experience from your usual bao spot, I'd come back for sure.
