Reviews
- spindly_caterpillarI'm a huge fan of meat zongzi, but a zongzi this big stuffed with that much meat? Never seen anything like it!! These are seriously huge, packed with real ingredients. The chestnut and salted egg yolk one is the move — two whole chestnuts, a big chunk of pork belly, and that savory yolk all wrapped up in sticky, soft glutinous rice soaked in rich meat juices. Honestly melts in your mouth. The pork is fatty but not greasy at all, the egg yolk is super creamy and sandy in the best way, and the chestnuts add this sweet, nutty thing that just works. So many layers of flavor and texture going on. They wrap them right there on the spot, fresh bamboo leaves, and the smell while you're waiting is insane. You can literally watch the aunties working super fast wrapping these things, hands flying, and it just feels so alive and real, like proper street-food energy. Definitely coming back.
