- frantic_saffronStumbled on this little meat pie shop tucked in a hutong and honestly, what a find. The "door nail" meat pies are so worth it — the outside gets all crispy and flaky but the inside stays super tender, and when you bite in the juices just burst out everywhere. The beef filling mixed with big green onion smells insanely good. Grabbed a side of tangy-spicy cucumber strips and a bowl of almond tofu to go with it and the whole thing had so much going on texture-wise. Place is clean, staff was really on top of things, even warned me upfront that the pies take a few minutes so I wasn't sitting there wondering where my food was. Drinks are cheap too. Walked out totally happy, would 100% come back.
