- Sage_18This northwest-style spot over in Lugu has been around for a while and you can see why — lots of regulars. Their signature clear broth beef hand-pulled noodles are legit, the noodles have that perfect chewy bite and the broth is super tasty. It's especially packed at breakfast time. The grilled skewers are another standout, the meat portions are generous, and the beef tendon skewers are tender but still have a nice chew — one stick and you're pretty full. Their big plate chicken and stir-fried mu xu with vinegar are solid too, the potatoes in the big plate chicken are soft and soak up all the flavor. The place has a typical halal vibe with green vinyl seats, regular tables, and clean restrooms. Prices are really reasonable, a bowl of noodles plus a few skewers and you're looking at around 50 per person, totally satisfied. Service is pretty standard, food comes out at a decent pace during meal times, but weekends can mean a wait. Easy to get to, it's on the ground floor of a building at the end of Qixingyuan Road, great for folks working nearby or anyone craving an honest bowl of northwest noodles.
