Dishes
Northeast Cold NoodlesNortheastern cold noodles are made primarily from potato starch noodles, combined with shredded cucumber, shredded carrot, wood ear mushrooms, and other vegetables, then tossed in a dressing made from garlic, cilantro, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil.
Rooster PotThe rooster pot dish is made with a whole rooster as the main ingredient, combined with vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, and onions, and seasoned with soy sauce, cooking wine, star anise, and ginger slices. The chicken is slowly stewed for a long time, resulting in tender meat and rich broth, with all ingredients fully absorbing the flavors of the seasonings.
Braised Goose PotThe goose pot is primarily made with a whole goose, accompanied by vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, and onions. It is simmered with seasonings like soy sauce, cooking wine, star anise, and cassia bark. After blanching the goose meat, it is cooked slowly with the ingredients until the meat becomes tender and the broth turns rich and flavorful.
Scallion BunsScallion buns are a traditional Chinese dough dish made by fermenting flour with yeast, rolling it into sheets, sprinkling chopped scallions and salt, rolling it up, cutting it into segments, and steaming. The outer layer is soft, with a rich onion flavor inside.
Stewed Pork Ribs in Iron PotStewed spare ribs in an iron pot is a dish primarily made with pork ribs, seasoned with various spices and herbs, and slowly simmered in an iron pot. The preparation method mainly involves stir-frying the ribs until slightly golden, then adding seasonings and适量 water to slowly braise the ribs until they are tender and the broth is rich.
Sweet and Sour PorkGuobaorou is a traditional dish made primarily from pork tenderloin. The meat is sliced and marinated, then deep-fried in hot oil until golden and crispy. It is then stir-fried with a sweet and sour sauce made from sugar and vinegar, ensuring each piece of meat is evenly coated with the sauce.
Reviews
- massive_prairie_dogMy friend recommended this place saying the iron pot stew is super authentic Northeastern style, and honestly it did not disappoint. We got the big goose pot and the meat was so tender it was falling apart, and the broth was really rich and flavorful. Served with these flat cornmeal pancakes stuck to the side of the pot — wow, those were amazing. The staff was super attentive, kept coming by to add more broth and stir things up for us. The decor has a real Northeastern vibe going on, wooden tables and chairs plus an actual stove setup that makes the whole place feel cozy. The side veggies were great too — green beans, potatoes, and wide glass noodles all soaked up the flavor really well. Overall a super satisfying meal and I'm definitely coming back to try some of their other pots.
