The broth is made with fresh passionfruit so it has this super fruity vibe mixed with that classic Yunnan sour-spicy punch, and wow the smell when it comes to a boil is incredible. I literally had a bowl of the soup before we even started dunking stuff in — so tangy and refreshing, kills any greasiness instantly. We got the lake fish sliced fresh to order and omg it was so tender and basically no bones at all. Like silky and just melts, with this subtle fruit flavor coming through from the broth. So good. The fried Yunnan pouch tofu was wild — crispy outside, soft gooey inside, and when you bite in after it's been soaking up the sour soup the inside just kind of bursts and it's this whole creamy bean thing happening with the tanginess. Amazing texture combo. We also did the rice noodles swished around in the broth and those were the perfect finisher — properly chewy, soaked up all that flavor, super satisfying to slurp at the end. Oh and there's a little self-serve station with this crunchy sweet thing (kinda like a fresh root veg, super refreshing) that you can just grab whenever — really helps balance out the spice and cleans your palate between bites. Vibe is super bright and open, warm lighting, wood tables, feels clean and comfy. Good for hanging with friends or bringing the family. They were playing soft Yunnan folk or jazz in the background at a nice low volume — sets the mood without making you shout. Service was on point too. The staff came over quickly, helped us cook stuff and adjust the heat, kept topping up the broth without us asking. Little things but it makes a difference. Definitely coming back!!
