Reviews
- indigo_nettleFound this little place on Jinxing Road that does a mix of iron pot stew and BBQ, and honestly it felt super homey with that northeast China vibe. The space is pretty big and quiet too, we went on a weekend and it wasn't packed at all. The iron pot stew is what you've gotta order. The free-range chicken pot and the pork rib pot are their signature dishes and yeah, they live up to it, the chicken and ribs were so tender and packed with flavor. The wide noodles, potatoes, and dried beans inside soaked up all that broth and were amazing with rice. They give you these corn flatbreads on the side and you can either roll stuff up in them or dunk them in the soup, both ways are great. They also bring out a big bowl of corn grits porridge and watermelon to help cut through the richness, which was a nice touch. The BBQ was solid too, the heart tubes and the raw-grilled chicken feet are worth trying. We got the 108 yuan group buy deal for 2-3 people and it was a total steal, comes with the stew pot, flatbreads, and sides, definitely enough for a few people. Staff were really friendly and the whole place felt right for hanging out with friends or classmates. Tastes authentic, prices are fair, and yeah, I'd come back.
