- Charlie_2Okay so we ordered the pork stomach chicken hotpot (猪肚鸡) and wow, the broth was so creamy white, super rich, and you could smell the white pepper hitting you right away. The pork stomach was really clean, no funky taste at all, and it had that perfect chewy-crisp texture. The chicken skin still had some of that fatty goodness too, which I'm a huge fan of. They give you this special dipping sauce on the side and honestly it just made everything taste better without overpowering it. Also got the bamboo cane and water chestnut drink (竹蔗马蹄水), which was sweet and light, really cut through all the richness, and my throat felt so good after. The staff kept refilling it for us too, no need to ask. The vibe inside was clean, wooden tables and chairs, kinda gives you that old Guangzhou feel which I loved. Service was great, they kept topping up water and swapping out our plates without us even saying anything. The veggie platter was fresh, especially the pea shoots, super tender and crisp. Overall just a really comfy meal, I could eat here all the time.
