The Makerspace goes several steps further, offering accessible introductions to block-coding, 3D printing, and basic robotics—an ideal first taste of STEM for children who have never picked up a soldering iron. Beyond permanent exhibits, the museum hosts a lively programme of seasonal events. Lunar New Year science carnivals, liquid-nitrogen demonstration shows, and AI coding competitions draw school groups throughout the year, while winter and summer holiday camps turn abstract theory into theatrical spectacle. These events reflect a broader Chinese cultural emphasis on collective learning and meritocratic achievement, traditions that resonate with the family-oriented science festivals popular across Europe and North America. Special ticketed experiences, such as the zero-gravity simulator, run alongside the free general admission.
